y last weekend. Here are the final stats from this annual event at the store:

24 of us went to see Iron Man after we closed – GREAT MOVIE!!!
I say “and counting” above because we still have free comic books remaining! For at least 3 more days, we are making our leftovers available to anyone and everyone who comes in, before we pack them away for use with future promotions, etc. We’re all out of cookies and door prizes, but you can still experience a little bit of FCBD if you missed your copy of MAXIMUM RIDE #1 or the ATOMIC ROBO / NEOZOIC sampler!
Okay then…. on to our giveaway. Our last contest was for the IDENTITY CRISIS hardcover, and I’m proud to announce that we have a winner… the random roll of the dice pointed to David Alim-Young! David, stop by the store with a picture ID to claim your prize at anytime. On to this week’s item….
FRANK CHO is one of the most sought-after artists in comic books today. His most storied efforts have been on his self-created book LIBERTY MEADOWS, and he has most recently been at work on the interiors of MIGHTY AVENGERS, and writing the JUNGLE GIRL series (plus drawing the covers!). Turns out that Cho knows a lot about jungle girls, because our giveaway this week is the hardcover collection of his art on SHANNA THE SHE-DEVIL, the 2005 mini-series that he wrote and penciled.
