Wizkids is rolling out TWO exciting new events for our Heroclix players this month – and the first one is a new tournament format launching this weekend called the INFINITY GAUNTLET!

Here’s basically how it works:  each month from now until August, we will be running our Infinity Gauntlet tournament on the second Saturday of the month, in place of our normal Heroclix tournaments at 10:30am.  While you do not need to play in each previous event to play in subsequent ones, you WILL need to have been at each of the first seven, in order to play in the eighth and final tournament in August.  EVERY player who shows up to each of these tournaments will receive a participation prize – this week, you’ll get a special Heroclick of the esteemed Infinity Gauntlet (don’t know what that is?  Hit Wikipedia!), and each of the following six months, participants will receive one of the gems that attaches to the Gauntlet.

You’ll need all six gems and the Gauntlet in order to beat Thanos at the final tournament in August!

Additionally, Wizkids is offering elite support prizes for each of these tournaments as well – it starts with a Gauntlet’ed Adam Warlock this week, The In-Betweener in February, and many more to come!

There IS a participation fee for this tournament – sort of.  Wizkids’ suggested format for this month’s tournament is a sealed 300-point tournament using two boosters of Hulk, so that’s what we’re going to go with at Clem’s.  See you this Saturday, and earmark these dates now for future Infinity Gauntlet tournaments!

Saturday February 11th – Participation:  Soul Gem.  Prizes:  LE The In-Betweener.

Saturday, March 10th – Participation:  Power Gem.  Prizes:  LE The Champion.

Saturday, April 14th – Participation:  Time Gem.  Prizes:  LE The Gardener.

Saturday, May 12th – Participation:  Space Gem.  Prizes:  LE The Runner.

Saturday, June 9th – Participation:  Reality Gem.  Prizes:  LE  The Collector.

Saturday, July 14th – Participation:  Mind Gem.  Prizes:  LE The Grandmaster.

Saturday, August 11th – Participation:  LE Terraxia.  Prizes:  Not sure yet!
