A great Christmas gift idea – no, REALLY!
We (retailers) all say that, around this time of year. It’s a great Christmas gift. The perfect stocking stuffer. Fits everyone on your list.
I’m not going to go that far. Your grandfather might not be into this gift. Neither might your super-jock brother. Not that there’s anything wrong with grandfathers or super jocks (go Lions!). But for just about everyone ELSE, may I highly suggest the hardcover collection of Alan Moore’s “Whatever Happened To the Man of Tomorrow?”
I’ll give you 3 great reasons. It’s by Alan Moore, one of the greatest comic book storytellers of all time. Writer of “V for Vendetta”, “Watchmen”, “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”, “Batman: The Killing Joke”, “The Dark Knight Returns”, and a slew of other acclaimed works.
It’s classic Superman. The story was designed to be the send-off of the classic Superman when DC was preparing to re-introduce the character because of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. So it serves as both a memoir and a fresh story as the characters “recall” the final days of Superman and weave a tale that incorporates all of his most celebrated associates and villains.
And the last, and greatest reason to pick up this book: it’s HALF-PRICE for two days only, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 15th & 16th. That’s right, we’ve sliced the $25 price tag to only $12.50 if you print off this coupon and bring it in. Offer only good while supplies last! We have a decent amount of supply, we think, but we’ll see how many coupons come in this week.
