This new-comic post is going to be short and sweet, cause I gotta get on up outta this coffee shop and on to my next appointment.  But there’s a release tomorrow that you, our dear comic-reading public, absolutely must know about.

New comic day is tomorrow (Wednesday) again!  The week off is safely behind us, and there’s a bunch of stuff waiting for your perusal in the morning.  But as you look over the list of new incoming products that we have right here for you on our website, you may ask yourself a few puzzling questions.  And here are the answers:

If you like self-contained mini-series that spotlight B-list (or sometimes Z-list) characters, then this is the week for you!  New #1 issues for mini-series starring Psylocke (Marvel X-Men), Deathlok (Marvel assassin), Black Widow (Marvel spy), Cinderella (Vertigo character from Fables), Lobo (DC space mercenary), and the Great 10 (DC superteam from China) all release this week.

So have you picked up any of the Superman Showcase trade paperbacks from DC?  It’s pretty unlikely that you could get your hands on an actual copy of Action Comics #1, so if you wanted to start reading Superman from the ground floor up, the Showcase books would be your best chance.  Or have you looked over the new establishment of Superman’s origin, the Man of Steel mini-series that John Byrne wrote in 1986?   Or maybe you more recently read the Mark Waid mini-series Superman: Birthright in 2003?  That would …
