Starfire is a game of exploration and colonization, and combat, in space. The game is a campaign game in which you build your own fleets, your own ship designs (according to the game rules), and strike out from your home star system to take over the galaxy. You research new technologies (to build bigger/better ships and bases) and work on expanding your empire.

I have worked to reduce the paperwork in the game to close to none. We will be running the campaign turns by email and just having face to face meetings for ship combat.

The game system is well designed and seems balanced from our games so far.
